My boyfriend and I decided to get tattoo’s together for Valentines Day. We got quotes from Harry Potter.  Although they seem to be matching the stories behind them are nothing of the sort. 

Harry Potter has always been a huge part of my life. When everything went wrong, or life just seemed to be unbearable I would submerse myself in the magical world that JK Rowling created and use it as an escape. I grew especially attached to the books and even more attached to my two favorite characters, Fred and George, the Weasley Twins. Therefore in order to honor them and thank them for helping me smile when the world seemed to burning around me I got their mischievous saying “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good” on my right side.

My boyfriend although not as a devoted fan as I am got the other end of the saying tattooed on his bicep. “Mischief Managed” held a completely different meaning to him. He does not associate it with Harry Potter, or the Weasley twins at all. To him those two words represent maturity; growing up. Recently having turned 24 he is finally getting his life on track and getting his shit together. His partying days are over, and the wild life he lead is now a bit tamer, and he is finally growing up and maturing, his mischief has been managed.
